Hockey Mom Breaks Up Brawl on Ice Should She Have Intervened?
She may still be in the penalty box for this, but a hockey mom from the Boston area showed us over the weekend that Sarah Palin got it right at the 2008 Republican National Convention. There really isn't much difference between a pitbull and a hockey mom.
During a brawl on the ice during a youth hockey game, the referees didn't intervene, even after the fighting players ignored their whistles. At that point, a pocketbook-toting Mom took to the ice to break up the fight. And it worked. The kids stopped fighting.
We're not sure if they were stunned, embarrassed or scared of what she might do next, but the punches quickly ceased being thrown.
