Facebook has just closed a deal to hire about seven employees from Android photosharing app developerLightbox. The Lightbox Photos app automatically created personal photo blogs from a user's uploads. But now it will be shut down, has already been stripped from Google's Play marketplace, and people have until June 15th to download their photos.Lightbox is a 500 Startups company that had taken$1.2 million in fundingfrom that accelerator as well as Index Ventures,Accel Partners,SV Angel, and several angels.Along with the Instagram acquisition, the Lightbox hires will help Facebook prepare for a very mobile-centric future, something investors want to be sure Facebook can win at before investing in its IPO on Friday.
