Independent filmmakers have a pretty tough when it comes to marketing and promoting their films; they really don't have the resources or tools required to expand their outreach, and get in front of new eyeballs. Only the big Hollywood studios have the resources to drive enough cross-platform advertising to stir up buzz over their upcoming blockbusters, six months in advance.
