Android Now Seeing 550,000 Activations Per Day
Fresh off the Google Q2 2011 Earnings Call, Larry Page has just disclosed that Android is now seeing 550,000 activations per day. That’s up from the 500,000 per day number Andy Rubin revealed in a tweet just sixteen days ago. Rubin also disclosed that Android was growing by around 4.4% week-over-week, an estimate which works quite well with these new numbers. This is up from the 350,000 activations per day back in Q1, and 160,000 activations per day way back in Q2 of last year.
