Windows Phone 7 Ad Impressions Up 92%; iOS And Android Neck In Neck For App Revenue

Mobile ad network Millennial Media has released its monthly monthly mobile report for May, giving us a view into how each OS and manufacturer is performing on the mobile ad network. For the sixth consecutive month, Android maintained its position as the leading Smartphone OS on the network with a 53 percent impression share.iOS followed with 27 percent of impression share, followed by RIM with 17 percent of ad impressions on the network (up 6 percent from last month). Millennial says that RIM's rise was due to an increase in BlackBerry Curve impressions on the network. Windows Phone 7 actually showed the highest growth in impressions on Millennial's network, up 92 percent. But Windows Phone 7 still has a 1 percent share compared to their mobile operating systems.
