Sally Applin's AnthroPunk presentation at Maker Faire
Sally Applin is a PhD student in social anthropology and computing at the University of Kent. She studies makers. She gave a terrific talk at Maker Faireant about the making of things, knowledge, culture, and ideas. One of Sally's messages is that there is no such thing as DIY. Instead, making things is a DIT (Do It Together) activity, because everything you do is "built on systems that have evolved."
