Berkeley Bionics is the start-up company developing robotic exoskeletons to augment human strength and endurance and, incredibly, to help people confined to wheelchairs walk again. Jim Wirth has been hanging out at Berkeley Bionics and sent me these two clips. "The first video is of my dear friend Alan who visited Berkeley Bionics in March and was about to try out the eLEGS," Jim told me. "Alan stood and walked for the first time in 4.5 years." The second video (after the jump) was from a private event on Friday where, Jim says, "several of their 'test pilots' presented their stories and demonstrated the eLEGS."...
