Aaron Swartz from Demand Progress sez, "The NIH is the largest source of funding for scientific research in the world. Three years ago this week, it announced every paper it funded would have to be made open access -- put online for free, instead of locked up by a for-profit publishing company. The change has been a huge success, so this week a coalition of libraries, universities, and patient advocacy groups is asking people to demand other US government funding agencies do the same.
