Ex-Goldman Sachs programmer gets 8 yrs in prison for stealing trading system source code
Former Goldman Sachs computer programmer Sergey Aleynikov was convicted last December of stealing the confidential source code for the firm's high-speed trading system. Prosecutors have since been debating with his lawyers over his sentence. The decision came today: U.S. District Judge Denise Cote gave Aleynikov more than eight years in prison.
